Palestine will never forget those who stood by its side: Factions
The al-Qassam Brigades and the al-Quds Brigades recall the achievements of Hezbollah's commander martyr Ibrahim Aqil (Hajj Abdul-Qader) for the sake of the Palestinian cause.
The al-Qassam Brigades extended its condolences to Hezbollah, its Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and the entire Lebanese people for the martyrdom of commander Ibrahim Aqil (Hajj Abdul-Qader), his deputy, commander Ahmad Wehbe (Hajj Abu Hussein Samir), and a group of their fellow comrades.
The Lebanese Resistance group confirmed the martyrdom of a number of its commanders and fighters following an Israeli aggression on Friday that targeted Beirut’s Southern Suburb, which killed at least 37 people and injured many others, with 16 still reported missing.
In a statement, the military wing of the Hamas movement also extended its condolences following the martyrdom of dozens and the injury of thousands in the massacres of Tuesday and Wednesday carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against Lebanon.
The Brigades recalled the key role played by the martyr Hajj Abdul-Qader for the sake of Palestine and the immense support he provided to the Palestinian Resistance factions in Lebanon.
Al-Qassam highlighted that Hajj Abdul-Qader oversaw the plan to liberate the occupied al-Jalil, the first Arab initiative aimed at liberating a part of Palestine.
The Palestinian faction expressed its deep appreciation for the sacrifices offered by the Resistance in Lebanon in defense of the al-Aqsa Mosque and in support of the people of Gaza, as well as its affirmation of keeping the support front active until the aggression on the Strips ends.
"We are confident that these [Israeli] strikes will only increase their strength, resilience, and determination to continue the resistance on the path to al-Quds," the statement read.
"Palestine will never forget those who stood by and supported it during its ordeal in the face of Zionist terrorism," the Brigades emphasized.
Additionally, the al-Qassam Brigades' military media released a photo featuring a group of Hezbollah commanders, who were martyred during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
Elsewhere, the al-Qassam said it is certain that "Israel", with its reckless adventures and arrogance in the region, "is hastening its own downfall and withdrawal from our land and holy sites."
"Israel" committed a foolish crime: PIJ
On its part, the al-Quds Brigades mourned Hajj Abdul-Qader and his comrades, underlining that "Israel" committed a foolish crime by assassinating the commander.
The military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) indicated that the commander was martyred after a long journey during which he played a key role in resisting the Israeli invasion of Beirut.
"We, in the al-Quds Brigades and the Palestinian Resistance, pledge to continue our jihad and defense of Palestine and its holy sites," the Palestinian Resistance faction stated.
