Palestinian administrative prisoners’ 39th day of boycott
The Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs say the boycott of the Israeli occupation courts is confusing to the administration of occupation prisons.
500 Palestinian administrative prisoners continue their boycott of the Israeli occupation courts for the 39th day in a row to demand an end to the arbitrary policy of administrative detention, under the slogan “Our Choice Is Our Freedom."
According to information obtained by the Commission, the boycott of the Israeli occupation courts is confusing to the prison administration, whereby it would be disconnected from the prisoners, in addition to informing the foreign delegations that visit the prisons periodically of the issue of administrative detention, thus shedding light on it and exposing it to the whole world.
On the first of last month, the administrative prisoners took a collective stand, declaring a comprehensive and final boycott of all judicial procedures related to administrative detention.
The Captive Movement in the occupation prisons announced its full support for the administrative prisoners' decision to comprehensively boycott the military courts, explaining that its regulatory bodies will follow up on the decision.
It also called on all administrative prisoners in various detention centers to fully abide by this step and to be patient in order to achieve the aspired goals of abolishing the administrative detention policy.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation authorities usually take punitive measures against prisoners who are boycotting their courts, such as depriving them of visits and renewing their administrative detention arbitrarily.
