Palestinian factions label Germany as 'Zionist' after FM statement
The Palestinian factions have issued separate statements condemning the greenlight by the German Foreign Minister to "Israel" to use weapons against civilians under the pretext of "self-defense".
The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, strongly condemned the statements made by German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock on Wednesday, in which she claimed that "Israel" can target civilians in Gaza for "self-defense".
In a statement, Hamas said the "German government is unashamed of the targeting of civilians and hospitals as long as it provides security for Israel, and this is part of its commitments."
Hamas described Baerbock's statements as "brazen", emphasizing that they constitute a clear and serious violation of the 1948 Convention on the Prevention of Genocide. Hamas also saw them as a clear acknowledgment of support for the Israeli occupation in its ongoing aggression and a cover for the "Zionist-Nazi army" to "commit further genocidal crimes against defenseless civilians, including children, women, the elderly, and the sick."
Hamas expressed deep dismay at this statement, saying it reveals a "Zionist mentality stripped of all humanitarian values and principles and exposes the truth of the German position that supports and participates in the crimes of starvation, thirst, and genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip."
In a parliamentary address, #Germany’s Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to "Israel", saying that "civilian sites could lose their protected status."

Hamas held the German government fully responsible for the consequences of these dangerous statements by its Foreign Minister, as well as their political, legal, moral, and humanitarian repercussions.
Germany’s statements embody terrorism: PFLP
On its part, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine also strongly condemned the "Nazi and fascist" statements by Germany's Foreign Minister.
In a statement, the PFLP pointed out that these remarks are a "clear embodiment of state terrorism promoted by the German authorities in their blatant and shameless support for the occupation."
The statement further emphasized that "Germany no longer hides its unlimited support for the genocidal crimes committed by the [Israeli] occupation," noting that Germany is "justifying these crimes and boasting that it will not stop supplying weapons, making it a direct partner in the crimes against the Palestinian people."
The PFLP further described Germany's stance as "disgraceful" as it supports the war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against civilians in Gaza. They called on Germany's free and honorable people to strongly oppose this official German position and organize a broad campaign to resist the policies that align with the occupation's.
German FM statements 'blatant bias': Palestinian Resistance Committees
The Palestinian Resistance Committees also condemned Baerbock’s statements, saying they represent "the apex of criminality, hatred, and German Nazism," as well as a "blatant bias" and justification for "massacres, genocide, and ethnic cleansing" carried out by the Zionist government with the support and cover of Western, American, and European powers, along with widespread international hypocrisy.
The Committees stated that the German Minister's "Nazi" statements confirm that "the war being waged on the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples is a clear manifestation of the fascism and Nazism of the unjust Western countries in their war on Arab and Islamic peoples.” They called on the Arab world to "wake up from their slumber and confront these destructive ideas that are reviving Nazism."
The statement urged "Arab and Islamic peoples and all the free people of the world" to express their rejection, condemnation, and denunciation of Baerbock’s statements by taking to the streets and holding protests outside German embassies around the world.
ICJ: Germany is a partner in genocide
The International Court of Justice called for using German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock’s statements as further evidence of her government's involvement in the genocide.
The court urged the German government to reverse its rejection of the lawsuit filed against it by Nicaragua, which accused Germany of violating the 1948 Convention on the Prevention of Genocide by supplying "Israel" with weapons used in its ongoing aggression on Gaza since October. It called for immediate action to force Germany to halt arms exports to "Israel",
