The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine mourned the great national leader and head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, to the Palestinian people, and to the Arab and Islamic nations.

In a statement, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad stressed that "the sinful assassination carried out by the criminal enemy against a symbol of the Resistance will not deter our people from continuing the Resistance to put an end to Zionist criminality, which has crossed all limits."

While the movement offered its sincere condolences to Hamas, the family of the great leader, his supporters, and loved ones, it stressed its "cohesion with Hamas in resisting the usurping entity."

In turn, the Resistance Committees in Palestine conveyed to the Palestinian people and the Arab and Islamic nations their condolences for the great Resistance leader. In a statement, the committees confirmed that they will remain loyal to him and all the martyrs of this blessed path in defense of the cause and the sanctities.

They stressed that the assassination of a great leader and symbol of the Palestinian people and their Resistance "will not weaken the resolve and determination of the Resistance to continue its path of expelling this treacherous Zionist enemy from our occupied land, from its river to its sea."

The statement added, "The Zionist enemy did not learn from what has happened during the ongoing confrontations since October 7. The policy of assassinations will only increase Resistance efforts on all fronts and in all arenas, making it stronger and more steadfast in continuing Resistance operations and open confrontation."

It also stressed that "the blood of the great martyr leader Abu al-Abed Haniyeh will be a curse that will shock and burn the entity of the Nazi enemy, which will be broken and humiliated by the blessed strikes of the Resistance in all arenas of confrontation and engagement."

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine also mourned Haniyeh, saying that he followed the path of martyrs in the battle to defend Palestinian existence in the face of Israeli genocide. The Front called on the Palestinian people, the people of the Arab and Islamic nations, and the free people of the world to "rise and revolt against the criminal enemy that continues its crimes to ignite the region and the entire world."

Hamas confirmed the martyrdom of the Hamas leader at dawn Wednesday, noting that the head of the political bureau was killed in a "treacherous Zionist airstrike on his residence in Tehran".

Iran's IRGC later said, "We are studying the dimensions of the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas' political bureau, and will announce the results of the investigation at a later time."
