Palestinian prisoner Kayed al-Fafsous' health deteriorates
Palestinian Prisoner Kayed al-Fafsous is now on his 59th day of a hunger strike, and the prison administration of the occupation has relocated him from Askalan prison to the Ramla prison clinic.
Prisoner Kayed al-Fafsous, aged 34, remains on his 59th day of an open hunger strike, with his health condition deteriorating significantly.
The Palestinian Prisoners' Club reported that yesterday, the prison administration moved prisoner al-Fasfous from the Askalan prison cells to the Ramla prison clinic due to his life-threatening health condition.
The Prisoner's Club further noted that the decision to transfer al-Fasfous to the "Ramla" prison clinic after his hunger strike had surpassed 59 days, instead of transferring him to a civilian hospital, is indicative of the occupation's ongoing systematic revenge against him. It is noteworthy that the occupation had administratively re-arrested al-Fafsous last May.
Sources reported that on September 20, the Israeli occupation military court in "Ofer" rejected the appeal submitted by al-Fasfous who has been in administrative detention and is now on a hunger strike for 59 days.
On September 22 the Israeli occupation prison administration transferred al-Fasfous to solitary confinement in Askalan Prison.
He had previously initiated hunger strikes, one at the end of May and the beginning of June that lasted nine days, and another in 2021 against his administrative detention, which lasted 131 days. Additionally, the occupation authorities had also placed his four brothers, all former prisoners, under administrative detention.
