Palestinian Resistance ambushes in Gaza, forced evacuations in Rafah
Israeli occupation forces withdraw from al-Shujaiya amid intense fighting in the southern Gaza City neighborhood of al-Shujaiya.
Palestinian Resistance fighters continue to confront Israeli occupation forces, defending multiple neighborhoods across the Gaza Strip after 278 days of war on the besieged territory.
The majority of operations conducted or announced on Wednesday took place in the northern Gaza Strip, in two of Gaza City's neighborhoods: Tal al-Hawa and al-Shujaiya.
Israeli forces withdraw from al-Shujaiya
Israeli attacks on the two neighborhoods have dragged on for several weeks, however, Israeli occupation forces have announced that they will halt their attack on al-Shujaiya. The announcement coincides with continued attacks conducted by the Resistance, which underlines the Resistance's steadfast presence in the area, as well as its robust operational capabilities.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad's (PIJ) al-Quds Brigades said that their fighters fired barrages of mortar shells at Israeli occupation forces positioned on a hilltop in southeastern al-Shujaiya.
Al-Quds Brigades fighters who returned from the frontlines on Wednesday also reported executing several attacks that included direct confrontations with occupation forces and a sniping operation.
The Resistance faction revealed that its fighters engaged an Israeli special force positioned in a building in the neighborhood, confirming casualties among occupation troops.
Al-Quds Brigades fighters also detonated several improvised explosive devices (IEDs), targeting Israeli vehicles, and engaging an Israeli force in a close-quarters battle in the neighborhood.
A sniper unit also shot an Israeli soldier near the hilltop mentioned earlier.

Rescue helicopters evacuate Israeli casualties from Tal al-Hawa
To the southwest of al-Shujaiya, in Tal al-Hawa, Resistance fighters from multiple factions defended against an ongoing Israeli attack on the neighborhood.
Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades announced that its fighters executed an ambush in the neighborhood, which dealt casualties among the members of an Israeli infantry force.
The Resistance faction explained that al-Qassam fighters set off two claymores into an Israeli infantry force as soon as the troops arrived to the point of the ambush. As a result of the attack, Israeli military rescue helicopters landed in the area to transfer the killed and wounded soldiers.
An al-Qassam sniper also shot an Israeli soldier in the neighborhood.
Al-Qassam fighters returning from the frontlines on Wednesday said that they targeted three Israeli Merkava tanks using two locally-produced Shawaz explosively formed penetrators (EFPs) and an al-Yassin tandem rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) in Tal al-Hawa.
Moreover, al-Quds Brigades fighters destroyed three Israeli military vehicles in the neighborhood after detonating a number of IEDs planted in the area at a previous time.
Al-Quds Brigades mortar units also launched several barrages of mortar rounds at Israeli occupation forces located in several areas across the western Gaza City neighborhood.
Other Palestinian Resistance factions participated in attacks targeting occupation forces in the neighborhood, including the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DLFP), al-Mujahideen Brigades, and al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine's (PFLP) Abu Ali Moustapha Brigades also confirmed that their mortar firing operations on the Industrial area in Gaza City, saw an Israeli rescue helicopter land in the area to transport Israeli military casualties.
