Hezbollah pounds Israeli outpost with 4 Burkan rockets
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah announced on Monday the targeting of the "Biranit" barracks, the headquarters of the "91st Division," with four heavy-caliber Burkan rockets, in solidarity with the Palestinian people and to affirm support for their Resistance amid the ongoing Israeli aggression.
Hezbollah declared, in two different statements, that it successfully hit the same Israeli military outpost in two separate operations with 4 Burkan rockets within a 20-minute interval.
It is worth noting that Hezbollah used Burkan rockets for the first time, targeting Israeli occupation outposts, on November 4.
Burkan is a short-range rocket with a range of up to 10 km, and its warhead's weight varies from 100 kg to 500 kg. Launched from pedestal launchers designed for mortar bombs, Hezbollah reportedly obtained these rockets in the mid-2000s.
The "Burkan" falls into the category of heavy rockets, characterized by a substantial warhead capable of causing significant damage at relatively short ranges, typically up to 10 kilometers. These rockets, often referred to as "heavyweights," exhibit an inverse relationship between warhead size and range.
