The Palestinian Resistance is engaging in fierce confrontations in the directions of Jabalia, al-Zaytoun neighborhood, Rafah, and Netzarim as it continues to repel the invading Israeli forces 218 days into the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

The confrontations are incredibly cost-heavy for the Israeli occupation forces as the Resistance efficiently kills numerous personnel a day and destroys at least a few military vehicles on a daily basis.

The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Resistance movement, announced that it launched artillery strikes at an Israeli assembly point south of the al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.

Al-Qassam engaged an Israeli Merkava 4 tank with a Yasin-105 shell south of the al-Zaytoun neighborhood.

Al-Qassam published footage showing the strikes on the invading Israeli forces. The footage showed the evacuation of the dead and wounded soldiers via helicopters following the battles south of the al-Zaytoun neighborhood.

The Mujahideen Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Mujahideen Movement, destroyed an Israeli tank using an anti-armor IED in the vicinity of the Zaytoun clinic in the same neighborhood.

Al-Quds Brigades fighters, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, fired mortar shells at enemy soldiers and vehicles in the vicinity of the al-Zaytoun clinic and destroyed several Israeli military vehicles using high-payload landmines in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood.

The al-Quds Brigades published footage of an Israeli Skylark drone they shot down and captured in Gaza City.

The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, carried out mortar strikes at the advancement axes in the Gaza Strip.

The forces of Martyr Omar al-Qasim announced that they used 107 short-range rockets to engage the Israeli occupation forces in the vicinity of the Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque, west of the al-Zaytoun neighborhood.

The Israeli occupation forces acknowledged the death of a soldier during the battles in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, and Israeli media confirmed that five Israeli soldiers had been killed in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood.

Fierce confrontations in Rafah

While confronting the occupation forces in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, the resistance is also engaged in fierce clashes east of Rafah, repelling Israeli incursions into the area and inflicting heavy losses.

Al-Qassam destroyed an Israeli APC with the Yasin-105 anti-tank RPG in the vicinity of the Rafah crossing in the southern Gaza Strip.

The Al-Quds Brigades shelled the occupation soldiers and vehicles east of Rafah with a barrage of mortar shells while also shelling an Israeli assembly point in the vicinity of the airport east of Rafah.

In turn, the forces of Martyr Omar Al-Qasim shelled a gathering of occupation forces in the vicinity of the Rafah crossing with 107 short-range rockets and bombarded a gathering of Israeli forces inside the Karam Salem military site, east of Rafah.

Hani al-Dali, an expert in Palestinian resistance affairs, told Al Mayadeen that the Palestinian resistance was telling Israeli society that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's progress in Rafah and the failure of negotiations means that he is indifferent to the lives of the Israeli captives.

Al-Dali also underlined that the Resistance wanted to send several messages to the Israeli occupation, including the fact that an invasion of Rafah would be no walk in the park.

Beer al-Sabe, Askalan bombarded

The Mujahideen Brigades published new footage from inside one of its military manufacturing units, confirming that it was still manufacturing mortar shells in its facilities.

The footage showed the battalions' fighters preparing a number of mortar shells inside one of the facilities as part of Operation al-Aqsa Flood, the statement said.

In another context, the al-Qassam Brigades renewed the shelling of the occupied city of Beer al-Sabe in response to the massacres being committed against civilians in Gaza.

The shelling came a day after the Palestinian resistance fired two batches of rockets at the settlement for the first time since December.

Moreover, it was reported that a large barrage of rockets was launched from Gaza toward the occupied Palestinian city of Askalan, dealing extensive damage to several Israeli housing units in the city.

Al-Dali stressed to Al Mayadeen that the Palestinian resistance tries to avoid fighting in civilian areas and that the resistance had the capabilities and tunnels necessary to move in accordance with the areas in which it is combatting.
