The Joint Operations Room of the Palestinian Resistance mourned on Friday over the martyrdom of the Palestinian civilians lost as a result of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, especially Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) figure Taiseer Al-Jaabari.

The Resistance faction Joint operation's room said it holds the Israeli occupation fully responsible for this aggression and "miscalculation". The Resistance Factions' Joint Operations Room affirmed that "this aggression will not go unanswered."

"The resistance's response is coming in the manner determined by its leadership," it added, announcing that it was in session jointly with all its military wings.

Ezzeddine Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, also expressed its sorrow over the martyrdom of the Palestinian civilians and Al-Jaabari.

"The blood of our people will not go to waste," Ezzeddine Al-Qassam Brigades said. Their blood "will be a curse for the occupation, God willing."

Explosions were heard in the Gaza Strip, occupied Palestine, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported earlier today. The shelling targeted the Palestine Tower in the center of Gaza city, as well as several resistance observation sites in the area.

Al-Quds Brigades, PIJ's military wing, announced the martyrdom of Taiseer Al-Jaabari, a military commander in the northern Gaza Strip.

'Israel' accountable for any repercussions

Palestinian resistance faction Hamas mourned Al-Jaabari, "targeted by the backstabbing Zionists after a career full of sacrifices, generosity, and resistance for his homeland, people, cause, and Ummah."

"The Palestinian people are bidding their farewell to a distinguished leader and freedom fighter who joined the ranks of the martyred leaders. We stress that the Zionist enemy alone will bear the consequences of this brutal aggression," Hamas said.

"The Israeli enemy, since the start of its escalation against the resistance in Gaza, committed a new crime, and it must be held fully responsible," Hamas spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum said.

"All of the resistance factions and their military wings are united in this battle, and they will have a response. It is no longer possible to accept the status quo," Barhoum added.

"Today, everyone is united against this aggression," Barhoum told Al Mayadeen.

"The resistance is always on high alert, and it has a joint plan rendering it capable of deterring the occupation and imposing the rules of engagement," the spokesperson concluded. "All of the resistance's capabilities will be used to defend our people, and it is our duty to take on the responsibility of deterring the occupation."

Resistance can impose new rules of engagement

The Palestinian Resistance Factions mourned the military commander as well, noting that any attempts the Israeli occupation makes at distracting the Israeli settlers from the domestic issues it is suffering at the expense of the Palestinian people's blood will not succeed.

"We stress that the occupation initiated the aggression on our people, therefore it is fully responsible for the repercussions of this crime," the Palestinian Resistance Factions said in a statement.

"The resistance factions are capable of messing up the occupation's calculations and imposing the rules of confrontation," the statement read. "The unified resistance will continue spearheading the confrontation against the Israeli occupation and its criminal plans."

PFLP calls for unity

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) also held "Tel Aviv" responsible for the repercussions of its aggression and assassination of the PIJ military commander.

The PFLP called on the Palestinian people to be united against the Israeli occupation's aggression. The resistance faction also called on all of the resistance's armed wings to respond and act against the plan to target the PIJ and Al-Quds Brigades.

"The Palestinian people have one body and one heart, and they are united in their support for the Palestinian resistance," he added.
