Israeli media reported Thursday that an Israeli soldier was killed and 16 others were injured after two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were detonated in Jenin, in the northern occupied West Bank, during armed confrontations with Palestinian Resistance fighters.

Meanwhile, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from Jenin and its refugee camp.

Early Thursday, Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Jenin and its refugee camp, bringing in reinforcements accompanied by military D-9 bulldozers through the al-Jalamah checkpoint. Confrontations erupted in the city after Israeli special units infiltrated the vicinity of Khalil Suleiman Governmental Hospital.

In detail, our correspondent mentioned that an explosive device targeted Israeli military vehicles in the Marj Ibn Amer area near Jenin, and according to locals, it seems to have been detonated remotely.

Israeli media described the ambush in Jenin as a "difficult incident", pointing out that a Panther-typed Israeli military armored personnel carrier (APC) in Jenin was targeted with two remotely detonated explosive devices.

The media mentioned that one soldier was killed and 16 others were injured with varying degrees of severity, adding that some of the injured were evacuated by three helicopters to different hospitals for treatment.

The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades also declared that its fighters engaged in fierce confrontations with the raiding occupation forces.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society said its teams in Jenin treated a Palestinian youth with shrapnel injuries to the face and transported him to the hospital, confirming that the occupation forces obstructed the work of ambulance teams during the raid.

In a related context, Israeli occupation forces demolished seven residential rooms, health units, and a room for an electricity generator in the village of Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta, southern al-Khalil.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent in occupied Palestine reported that Israeli occupation forces stormed several shops and Palestinian homes in Kfar Aqab, north of occupied al-Quds.

Our correspondent added that the occupation forces also stormed the Qalandiya refugee camp, north of occupied al-Quds.
