Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported on Saturday that Palestinian Resistance fighters engaged in fierce confrontations with Israeli occupation forces in various combat zones in the Khan Younis governorate, south of the Gaza Strip, coinciding with the Israeli aerial bombardments and intense artillery shelling in the eastern areas of the governorate.

Our correspondent confirmed intense confrontations in the northwest areas of Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip, pointing out that since morning, the Palestinian Resistance has been engaged in fierce battles against occupation forces in Gaza City and its northern areas. He noted that the confrontations are taking place at four axes within Gaza City.

He mentioned that Israeli occupation military vehicles are attempting to infiltrate once again into Gaza City from the areas of Tal al-Hawa and al-Sheikh Ajleen, highlighting that the Resistance fighters are confronting the raiding forces from point-blank range on the eastern outskirts of Jabalia camp, north of the Strip, where they have destroyed several Israeli military vehicles.

Our correspondent reported the outbreak of confrontations in the vicinity of the Ansar complex, west of Gaza City.

Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that its Resistance fighters targeted Israeli military gatherings north-east of al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip with heavy caliber mortar shells.

In a brief statement, the Brigades confirmed that its fighters targeted Israeli military vehicles infiltrating al-Jabari site, east of the Jabalia camp in northern Gaza, destroying several of them.

Al-Qassam Brigades said its Resistance fighters targeted Israeli soldiers who advanced into the northern and southern parts of Khan Younis City with mortar shells.

On its part, al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement, stated that its fighters are engaged in fierce confrontations with Israeli occupation forces using machine guns and appropriate weapons east of Khan Younis City and its southern areas, as well as in the fronts resisting the advance in al-Maghazi and al-Bureij camps in the central Gaza Strip.

Al-Quds Brigades confirmed that its fighters targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with a Tandem shell in the northern fighting axis of al-Nuseirat camp, in the central Gaza Strip.
