Palestinian women prisoners initiate an open hunger strike
In response to the Israeli decision of isolating them, Palestinian women prisoners Marah Bakeer, Shurooq Dwayyat, and Mona Qaadan announce an open hunger strike.
Palestinian prisoners Marah Bakeer, Shurooq Dwayyat, and Mona Qaadan announced they will begin an open hunger strike to protest against their isolation.
This decision came after women prisoners were assaulted by Israeli occupation forces, with the Hijab of some being forcefully removed.
The Waaed Youth Association had announced that the administration of the Damon Prison decided to punish all prisoners by barring them from showers for three days, adding that a number of prisoners had their hijab forcefully removed as they were being assaulted and were dragged by their necks. One of the prisoners had even passed out as a result of the brutal beating she underwent at the hand of her jailors.

The Association said on Sunday that prisoner Marah Bakeer was sent to Al-Jalama Prison's solitary confinement and prisoner Shurooq Dwayyat to Gilboa prison's solitary confinement. In the meantime, Muhjat Al-Quds Organization said that Israeli forces assaulted the prisoners, placing Mona Qaadan in solitary.
The Prisoner Studies Center had said on Sunday that Israeli occupation forces and the prison service had escalated over the past weeks their aggression against Palestinian women prisoners and increased the rate of their suppressive policies against them, in an attempt to break their will.
The Center said that the prisoners are subject to a systematic campaign of repression, using surprise inspections and allowing them no privacy.

The Captive Movement
The Palestinian Captive Movement in the Israeli occupation prisons called on all human rights and legal institutions to play their role and take all necessary measures to abolish the policy of administrative detention.
In a statement regarding the boycott of the administrative detention courts by administrative prisoners, the Movement pointed out that "we followed the national decision taken by our brothers and fellow administrative prisoners to boycott the military courts," which represent, according to the statement, a sham system and a tool for consolidating the occupation.
Popular Resistance Committees
The Popular Resistance Committees in Palestine considered the "savage, barbaric attacks on our women, freedom-fighting prisoners in Zionist prisons a blatant aggression and a new war crime committed by the Zionists."
The Committees added that "the fascist Zionist attacks against our women prisoners could cause an explosion in the entire region," stressing that "our free women prisoners are a red line no one should cross."
The Coalition added, "It is not possible to remain silent over the attacks on our women and female prisoners, and sooner or later the enemy will soon realize the gravity of what it has done."
Moreover, the Leadership Committee of Islamic Jihad Prisoners in Israeli occupation Prisons had said that it will strongly retaliate against the brutal attack against the prisoners, while private sources told Al Mayadeen that the Hamas movement conveyed a strongly-worded message to the Egyptian delegation in Gaza about the occupation's assault on female prisoners.
