Plot to Target Pilgrims in Iraq Foiled
Iraq's Security Media Unit announces the foiling of a plot to target Arbaeen pilgrims north of Babil Province.
Iraq's Security Media Cell announced foiling a plot north of Babil Province to target the pilgrims of Arbaeen, which is the commemoration of the 40th day following the martyrdom of Imam Hussein.
The cell also added that the Interior Ministry's Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency also found two explosive belts and an explosive charge rigged to detonate, which were aimed at targeting the pilgrims on their way to Karbala.

Hours before, the Cell also announced that Iraqi forces successfully captured an ISIS terrorist in the village of Khamsah, northern Baghdad.
