Opinion polls conducted by the Israeli occupation forces revealed a decreasing desire for combat service among adolescents.

The Israeli Movement for Freedom of Information website stated that the survey was conducted on about 40% of the candidates for military service. Its data indicates that the motivation for combat service in 2022 has been the lowest in years.

In December 2022, only 66% of the men surveyed indicated they were interested in serving in combat roles, compared to 73% in 2020.

For women, the decline is even more significant. In 2022, only 48% of female recruits expressed a desire to serve in combat, compared to 50% in 2021, 53% in 2020, and 60% in 2018, according to the survey.

It was projected, on the website, that in this year's poll, the numbers would be even significantly lower.

The site also pointed out that the occupation army initially refused to hand over data about the desirability of combat service to the Movement for Freedom of Information, and thus the movement took legal action in response.

Former senior Israeli occupation forces officers have repeatedly warned of the serious impact which the internal complications could have on the army's performance in any future confrontation: which in light of recent reports and data poses a serious risk to "Israel".
