The whispering tones down; senior Democratic officials have begun hinting in public the need to replace Joe Biden amid rising concerns over his mental fitness, stalled agenda, inflation issues in addition to fears of a defeat against running former President Donald Trump.

Despite this, Biden has promised to run again.

Yet, according to a poll conducted by Beacon Research and Shaw & Company Research, only 33% percent of Americans would vote to reelect Biden if the presidential election were held immediately. On the other hand, 54% voted that they would choose another candidate. The poll obtained the answers from 1,206 registered voters.

Biden's popularity is the lowest among the past 3 presidents. Donald Trump mustered 35% in reelect popularity in January 2018, while Barack Obama got 39% in September 2010.

71% percent of Democrats said they would reelect Biden, while 19% said they would vote for someone else. On the other hand, 91% of Republicans opted for someone else. Around 4% said they would still vote for Biden.

Independents said they are uncertain about their choices - 13% said they will be reelecting Biden, with 54% saying they would choose someone else. Around 23% said it was too early to give an answer.

Empathy, honesty, mental soundness, and strength of leadership are some of the qualities that Biden received a 'failing grade' for.

51% of respondents said that they do not think that Biden "cares about people like me" compared to 46 percent who do, and 52 percent answered no when asked if the president is "honest and trustworthy," compared to 44 percent who said yes. 56% of respondents found that Biden is not mentally sound to serve, whereas 40% of respondents believe he is. Upon being asked whether Biden is a strong leader, 62% said no, compared to 35% who thought yes.

Finally, 37% approve of Biden's position on tackling crime while 58% do not.

As for border security, 36% said they approve of Biden's border policies, while 60% said they do not. 35% supported his economic policies, while 62% do not. 29% support his tactics in tackling inflation while 67% do not.
