Prisoners in Ofer to Postpone Strike
According to the Palestinian Prisoners Club, detainees in the Ofer Prison have postponed their gradual strike after the administration requested a deadline to respond to their demands.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club reported on Tuesday that detainees in the Israeli Ofer Prison have postponed their strike in protest in light of the occupation's reversal of restrictions imposed.
The Ofer Prison administration requested a reprieve from the prisoners for several days to respond to their demands.
Furthermore, the Israeli occupation forces have raised their state of alertness, in anticipation of confrontations in the West Bank, particularly after the recapture of the six escapees from Gilboa prison.
The occupation released a statement asserting that it would continue to mobilize in the West Bank "to ensure stability".
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club had previously confirmed that 100 prisoners of all factions in Ofer Prison will start a gradual strike on Monday in light of the prison administration reneging on its agreement of stopping the abusive and retributive measures against the prisoners, which has increased following the breakout from Gilboa Prison.
The club added that the decisions of the prison administration will determine the coming actions of the 100 prisoners.
