Pushilin: Fierce Ukrainian shelling continues on the Donbass region.

The President of the Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin, announced that the Ukrainian army continues to fiercely bomb cities and towns in the Donbass region.

Simultaneously, Ivan Prikhodko, Governor of Gorlovka in the Donetsk Republic, announced that four civilians were killed and 10 others were wounded, as a result of intense shelling by the Ukrainian army of the city.

Prikhodko said in a statement on Telegram that the number of dead as a result of the Ukrainian forces' bombing of Gorlovka city today has increased to four and the wounded to 10.

This came in the event of an announcement by the regional defense headquarters in Donetsk of the liberation of 27 residential areas that were under the control of Ukrainian forces.

On the other hand, the Russian Defense Ministry has confirmed that more than 100 Ukrainian soldiers have laid down their weapons in the past 24 hours.

According to a statement by the spokesman for the Russian Armed Forces, General Igor Konashenkov, today, on Monday, 110 Ukrainian soldiers voluntarily laid down their arms during the past 24 hours.

It is noteworthy that last Thursday, Russia launched a special operation to demilitarize and "denazify" Ukraine, in response to requests from the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics for assistance in combating Ukrainian troops' aggression. The special operation is only targeting Ukrainian military facilities, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, and the civilian population is not at risk. Moscow has stated that it has no intention of occupying Ukraine.
