Raisi, MBS agree on need to end war crimes against Palestinians
The Iranian President and the Saudi Crown Prince stress Islamic unity in order to put an end to Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.
In the first phone call between the two leaders, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi agreed with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) on Wednesday on the necessity of ending war crimes against occupied Palestine.
Iranian presidential political aide Mohammad Jamshidi posted on X that Raisi and MBS "agreed on the need to end war crimes against Palestine."
Jamshidi said that during the call, "Islamic unity was stressed and both believed the [Israeli occupation] regime's crimes and the US green light will cause destructive insecurity for the regime and backers."

In a related context, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian held a phone conversation with his Emirati counterpart, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which the two discussed the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
During the call, Amir-Abdollahian said Iran calls on Islamic and Arab countries to support the Palestinian people. On his part, Bin Zayed Al Nahyan said the UAE stresses the need for a unified voice to support civilians in Gaza.
Raisi had previously confirmed Iran's support for the Palestinian people in their just defense against the Israeli occupation, stating that the Zionist entity and its backers are responsible for regional security threats and must bear responsibility for that.
Similarly, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian warned that the escalation of Israeli occupation crimes will further complicate matters in Palestine and the region.
Amir-Abdollahian confirmed the Resistance's Operation Al-Aqsa Flood is a natural and just response to extremist and criminal Zionist actions and stressed the need for the international community to make efforts to stop the Zionist killing machine.
In its latest figure, the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that the number of Palestinians killed in the ongoing US-backed Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip has risen to 1100 martyrs, with around 5,339 people injured.
The Ministry pointed out that the Israeli occupation is deliberately targeting medical teams, healthcare institutions, and ambulances to stifle rescue operations.
This comes as Israeli occupation aircraft continue to launch hundreds of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip successively and violently, targeting towers, residential buildings, and civilian and service facilities, causing great destruction to property and infrastructure and killing thousands of Palestinians while injuring others.

Confirming the US position as the Israeli occupation's biggest supporter, US President Joe Biden announced Tuesday that he ordered moving aircraft carrier Gerald Ford to the eastern Mediterranean to support the US naval presence in the Middle East amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, and escalating tensions between "Israel" and the Lebanese Resistance group Hezbollah.
"The Department of Defense has moved the USS Jr. Ford carrier strike group from the eastern Mediterranean and bolstered our fighter aircraft presence. We stand ready to move in additional assets as needed," Biden revealed after his administration pledged to send the naval vessel to help the Israeli occupation.
The US President on Sunday affirmed that the United States supports "Israel" and is committed to providing the necessary aid to ensure its continued aggression against the Palestinian Resistance.
He went on to call Operation Al-Aqsa Flood "sheer evil" while completely disregarding all the actions taken by the Israeli occupation against Palestinians.
Biden still failed to mention that the Israeli occupation was brutally killing civilians, using white phosphorus, and bombing religious sites and schools where people typically seek refuge in times of war.
