Raisi says new world order needed at intl conference on Palestine
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi underlines during the International Conference in Palestine being held in Tehran that a new world order is needed.
The Palestinian cause turns our sights to the plight of the Palestinian people in Gaza, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said Saturday at the International Conference on Palestine held in the Iranian capital of Tehran.
"What is a major cause of concern is the blatant US-European support for the aggression," the Iranian leader said. "We must think of a new world order, which requires strenuous efforts."
"Our most important message is the liberation of the Palestinian land, and this was declared by the late Imam [Ruhollah] Khomeini," Raisi added.
He went on to assert that the Israeli occupation and the United States should be tried for genocide in the international tribunals. "It has been proven to the world that the United States is committing massacres and genocide despite ranting about human rights," he said.
"The so-called UN Security Council is unable to stop the war on Gaza," the Iranian President added.
Ending war is a priority
Meanwhile, he said, the main priorities were ending the war on Gaza and opening humanitarian corridors to allow the entry of humanitarian aid into the blockaded strip. "The sole fate before the Zionist entity is defeat."
This comes after Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei said Saturday during a meeting with visitors from the provinces of Kerman and Khuzestan that "the Zionist regime will be eradicated, and Palestine will be victorious."
"Do not doubt that the victory is with the righteous front. Do not doubt that the usurping Zionist regime will be eradicated off the face of the Earth," he stated, describing the past two months of genocide in Gaza as "a unique and extraordinary phenomenon in the recent history of the Islamic world, the likes of which we haven’t had in recent history and perhaps in the last century."
"This incident is unique from two sides. From the side of the Zionist regime, it is unique because this kind of brutality, criminality, and bloodlust has never been seen in the period I mentioned... This kind of child-killing, with bunker-busting bombs thrown over patients in hospitals, this kind of cruelty and wickedness is unprecedented," he added.
The US and "Israel" are 'one and the same'
"Israel", the leader said, despite "all the equipment and all the facilities [in its possession], remains powerless against the Palestinian fighters, whose equipment is almost incomparable to the equipment of the Zionist regime".
He stressed that "the failure of the Zionist regime in this incident is also the failure of the United States, and today no one in the world differentiates between the occupying regime and the United States and England, and everyone knows that they are one and the same."
He called the recent US veto in a UNSC vote for a ceasefire "a shameless act" and "complicity with the Zionist regime to drop bombs on children, women, old men, the sick, and other defenseless people".
"The great victory of the Palestinian nation and the Front of Righteous and Resistance is that it discredited the West and America and exposed the nature of all their false human rights claims since Israel was not able to commit so many crimes without the support of America."
