Raisi to Erdogan: Severing Israeli ties effective to stop war on Gaza
The Iranian President tells his Turkish counterpart Erdogan that severing relations with the occupation entity is “effective and deterrent" to force it to stop its crimes against Palestinians.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi called on the Islamic countries to cut ties with the Israeli occupation entity to force it to end its war on Gaza, which will hit its 6-month mark this week.
In a phone call with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Raisi said that this measure is “effective and deterrent" to force the Israelis to stop their crimes against Palestinians while the United States continues to openly provide the entity with weapons and financial aid.

"Israel does not abide by any international law or charter,” including the recent UNSC resolution demanding a temporary ceasefire in Gaza, “which reflects the brutal nature of this usurping entity," the Iranian President told his counterpart.
In this context, he called for "strengthening cooperation between Islamic countries in the course of protecting the residents of Gaza."
There is a necessity to "bring together the efforts of the Islamic countries under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other institutions concerned with Muslim affairs for the sake of supporting the Palestinian people," and the Muslim Ummah expects its leaders “to take decisive and deterrent measures to stop the crimes of the Zionists in Palestine,” Raisi said.
Concluding his remarks, the President said that there must be "cooperation and coordination between Islamic countries in order to send humanitarian aid to Gaza and prevent famine."

In a similar vein, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the brutal Israeli crimes, which are taking place in front of the whole world and yet are still ongoing.
Nasser Kanani also condemned the "horrific" Israeli crime of bombing tents housing forcibly displaced families and journalists within the premises of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, which resulted in the martyrdom and wounding of over 20 people.
"The horrific war crimes of the Zionists in Gaza continue in front of the eyes of the world!," Kanaani said on X, adding that the massacre in the hospital "is the latest crime of the child-killing regime of Israel, which has disregarded all international laws and regulations."
The spokesperson further added, "Immediate action to stop these crimes and legally prosecute the Zionist criminals is a definite responsibility of international bodies and organizations, as well as a demand of public opinion worldwide."
"The brutal crimes of the Zionist regime against the besieged residents of Gaza are an eternal and indelible stain on the foreheads of its hypocritical supporters."
