Raisi: Armed Forces’ power beneficial to region's security
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi says the presence of foreign forces jeopardizes regional security.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said that Iran's enemies, especially the Zionist occupation entity, must know that Tehran will deliver a crushing blow against their slightest move.
Raisi's remarks were made during a parade to mark National Army Day in Tehran on Tuesday.
“Our enemies, especially the Zionist regime, have received this message that the slightest move against the country will evoke a severe response from the armed forces and will be accompanied by the destruction of Haifa and Tel Aviv,” he remarked.
Raisi sent a message to the US occupation forces in the region, stating that they should "leave the region as soon as possible because it is in their own interest and in the interest of the region.”
He also stated that the presence of foreign forces jeopardizes regional security, while the presence of Iran's armed forces "provides security wherever they are present in the region.”
“It is no secret to anyone that our armed forces have protected the territorial integrity and security of the countries in the region,” he said.
He also reiterated that the presence of foreign troops, most notably US occupation forces, would never safeguard the integrity of the Gulf region.
Raisi's speech is taking place shortly after the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister announced that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi accepted the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to visit Riyadh, and it will be implemented according to his schedule.
It is worth noting that Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed to restore diplomatic relations and reopen missions in respective countries after a series of talks brokered in Beijing.
