Regional neighbors express 'concern' for Lebanon
Regional states have expressed their solidarity with Lebanon after "Israel" announced a "limited" ground invasion into South Lebanon.
Residents and rescuers inspected on Tuesday morning the damage after an overnight Israeli airstrike on the Ain al-Helweh camp on the outskirts of Sidon, on Lebanon's coast.
Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Egypt all expressed support for Lebanon after "Israel" announced its ground invasion of southern Lebanon overnight.
“Aggression on Lebanon will inflict the worst,” Mohammed bin Abdulaziz al-Khulaifi, the Qatari minister of state in the Foreign Ministry, wrote in a tweet early Tuesday, adding that “standing with the brotherly people of Lebanon is not just a moral duty, but an imperative necessity."

Meanwhile, the UAE called for an international effort to prevent regional escalation and emphasized Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, pledging a $100 million relief package.
Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said that on Tuesday, "Israel’s" ground attack — which it called “an illegal invasion attempt” that “targets the security and stability of the region and beyond” — must end immediately.
The Egyptian House of Representatives stated that “what is happening in Lebanon is a blatant violation of a sovereign state, which raises the risk of widespread regional confrontations.” It expressed support for medical aid to Lebanon, citing a “clear international failure to alleviate the suffering of the innocent.”
The statements come after the Israeli occupation forces were targeted by the Islamic Resistance of Lebanon at the entrance of the Shtula settlement with artillery fire, confirming direct hits, after the occupation forces declared the beginning of its ground incursion into Lebanon.
Hezbollah's operation was followed by seven other operations, which were in response to the Israeli occupation's barbaric aggression against Lebanon and Gaza.
