Russian President Vladimir Putin said, on Friday, that relations between Russia and the United Arab Emirates are developing successfully, stressing that they are mutually beneficial to both countries.

At a meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Putin said that "the UAE is a very good comfortable partner for us. Relations between Russia and the Emirates are developing very successfully... the main thing is that they benefit both Russia and the UAE."

It is worth noting that the meeting took place on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

Elsewhere in his remarks, Putin noted that he will tackle the situation in the region during his meeting with Al Nahyan.

On his account, Al Nahyan expressed UAE's willingness to contribute in every possible way to resolving the war in Ukraine.
