Remembering martyr Farah Omar in her hometown of Mashghara, West Bekaa
Farah's body was laid to rest today in her hometown of Mashghara in West Bekaa, Lebanon.
Ghassan Ben Jeddou, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Mayadeen Media Network, on Wednesday, reaffirmed the Network's unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause and the journalists' steadfastness on the path of resistance.
In today's funeral procession for martyr and colleague Farah Omar, Ben Jeddou declared that "today, we all share the Farah (Arabic word for joy) for Lebanon and the Resistance, as we remain steadfast on the path of Resistance journalism".
"I hope that martyr Farah receives an honorary doctorate from the School of Media, as she honors the nation, Lebanon, and her hometown Mashghara," Ben Jeddou added.
Ben Jeddou emphasized that residents of Mashghara have every right to take pride in Farah since she is "a symbol of Lebanon's resistance," further saying, "we will continue on this path, echoing our resolve and displaying our clear image," Ben Jeddou said.

Farah's spirit will continue to sow strength
Farah Omar was martyred alongside her fellow martyr Rabih Me'mari in an Israeli airstrike at around 11:00 AM on Tuesday, as they were reporting on the ground along the Lebanese-Palestinian border.
Al Mayadeen host Wafa Saraya vowed in Farah's eulogy that the channel will remain "steadfast, rooted, enduring, and persevering," noting that the spirit of Farah will continue to sow hope and strength.
Farah's body was laid to rest today in her hometown of Mashghara after prayers were offered for her and Rabih at Al Mayadeen's headquarters in Beirut this morning.
Rabih's body was buried at the Zainab Al-Hawraa cemetery, located in the southern suburbs of Beirut. Mourning family members, colleagues, and figures from political and media circles were all present at his funeral procession.
