Al-Quds Brigades - Jenin Brigade's fighters discovered a special Israeli force in the town square of the Jenin refugee camp before thwarting their plans, the armed wing announced, adding that the Israeli special forces were dealt with decisively.

The Jenin Brigade issued a statement clarifying that its fighters launched intense and concentrated attacks on Israeli forces at the Al-Asfur Roundabout, opening fire at them and detonating IEDs, adding that they also engaged in fierce confrontations.

The Jenin Brigade confirmed that their sappers detonated five Tareq 1 explosive devices within Israeli encampments in response to the targeting of civilian homes.

The freedom fighters confronted Israeli incursions toward Jabriyat, with the sapper unit successfully detonating a Tamer explosive device that disabled Israeli armored vehicles.

The sappers detonated more devices on the outskirts of the camp, inflicting serious material damage upon the Israeli military vehicles. The fighters of the Jenin Brigade also targeted an infantry force in the Al-Damaj direction with gunfire, successfully thwarting the advancement of Israeli forces.

Israeli military reinforcements are heading towards the Jenin camp from Haifa Street, Al-Nasirah Street, and Nablus Street, Palestine TV reported.

Fierce confrontations

The confrontations in the camp are escalating, with Israeli media reporting that there is an "intense exchange of gunfire and heavy explosions" in Jenin. The current battle was described as "the toughest since the start of the operation," Israeli media reported.

"Intense clashes are taking place near Jenin Hospital at close distances," Israeli Channel 12 military affairs correspondent Nir Dvori said, adding that "a recent incident near the hospital is still ongoing, with a group of wanted individuals holed up inside a building besieged by an army unit."

"There is an ongoing shootout, and we can hear the echoes of explosions. This event is still ongoing," Dvori said.

Social media accounts circulated videos showing an attempted Israeli incursion into the hospital, with reports of resistance fighters engaging Israeli forces to repel them.

"Israeli forces have intensified their targeting of medical facilities and hospitals in the city of Jenin," Palestinian Health Minister May Al-Kaila said.

"Israeli occupation forces stormed Jenin Government Hospital, opening fire inside, leaving three wounded, including two critical injuries. They also invaded Ibn Sina Hospital in the city," the Palestinian official said.

According to Al-Kaila, "This aggression is a challenge to international law and all countries around the world. It demonstrates a determination to kill, as this attack is not the first since the start of the aggression on Jenin."

"Israeli forces deployed tear gas grenades and gunfire at Al-Amal Hospital, using the same means of assault on the Ibn Sina hospital over the past two days, which has put the lives of patients and medical staff at risk," she concluded.

This comes as the Israeli occupation continues its aggression on the city and camp of Jenin in the occupied West Bank for the second day in a row, while Palestinian Resistance fighters bravely confront Israeli occupation forces with barrages of bullets and detonating explosive devices.

Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday that the number of Palestinians killed in the Israeli occupation aggression against the city and camp of Jenin had risen to 10 after the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) announced that it had recovered a martyr's body from Horsh Al-Saada area.

PRCS confirmed that its medical teams dealt with 120 injuries in the field so far, indicating that the occupation forces prevented ambulances from reaching the locations of the injured.

On its part, the Palestinian Prisoners Information Office stated that the occupation forces arrested about 120 Palestinians from the city and camp of Jenin since the start of the aggression.

The city of Jenin witnessed continued violent confrontations throughout Monday night as the Israeli occupation forces deployed reinforcements in attempts to break the Resistance lines of defense.

Jenin deputy mayor Mohammed Jarrar confirmed that the occupation forces deliberately demolished the homes in the camp, after forcing out a number of the residents.
