Armed confrontations erupted in the Balata camp in the occupied West Bank after the Palestinian Resistance discovered an Israeli force attempting to covertly infiltrate the camp.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that after the unit was discovered and attacked by the Resistance the occupation army deployed backup forces to the camp.

The Al-Quds Brigades - Nablus Brigade announced that its fighters confronted occupation forces in the camp.

A Palestinian was wounded by Israeli gunfire in the camp, the Palestinian Red Crescent said.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces launched wide-scale raids across a number of towns and cities in the West Bank since early morning hours, with a focus on Tulkarm and Tubas.

Resistance fighters opened fire on the raiding Israeli occupation forces and targeted them with several IEDs.

In the city of Tubas, the Al-Quds Brigades - Tubas Brigade and its groups in al-Far'a announced that they ambushed an enemy infantry group early this morning.

Additionally, al-Qassam Brigades in Tubas announced that they targeted the occupation forces positioned within the city.

'Heroic operation'

Earlier today, occupation forces killed Palestinian youth Adham al-Bajer during their storming of the city of al-Bireh.

Shortly after, a shooting operation targeting a car near the town of Beit Lid, east of Tulkarm, left three Israelis wounded.

The shooter withdrew right after the operation while a large force of Israeli occupation soldiers was deployed to the scene and launched a manhunt, Palestinian media reported.

In a statement, Hamas said that the "heroic shooting operation ... this morning ... is a natural reaction to the heinous crimes and atrocities committed in Gaza and the ongoing violations in the West Bank."

Hamas called on the people of the West Bank and al-Quds to continue the path of resistance and carry out more heroic operations targeting occupation soldiers and settlers.
