Israeli media reported today that six Israeli soldiers were injured in a shooting operation at the tunnel checkpoint south of Al-Quds, one of them being in critical condition.

Israeli media highlighted the Israeli state of confusion that occurred after the operation, stating that large units of the Israeli police were deployed to the scene afterward.

"It has been a while since we witnessed an operation planned in this way in Jerusalem," Israeli media reported.

Israeli media also reported that the Palestinian fighters who conducted the operation were martyred on the scene. "The operation was not carried out by one person, and three Palestinians were shot and neutralized at the scene of the operation."

Minutes later, it was reported that one of the fighters may have succeeded in leaving the scene.

The occupation's media also noted that the fighters had arrived by car at the tunnel checkpoint and began firing at soldiers standing guard there.

'Israel' blindsided by shooting operation

The Israeli channel Kan, quoting the Director-General of the "Red Star of David" announced that there is concern about the presence of an explosive device at the scene.

The spokesperson for the Israeli occupation police described the shooting incident as being "very harsh," saying, "The government is preoccupied with fighting in Gaza, but on the other hand, there are also many concerns in Israel."

This operation comes amid the brutal Israeli aggression against Gaza where the IOF directly targeted civilians and violated the sanctity of hospitals and medical crews.

Calls have increased recently in the West Bank and occupied Al-Quds to go out and confront the occupation forces in solidarity with the Gaza Strip.

It is worth noting that clashes are escalating in the occupied West Bank between the Resistance and the Israeli occupation forces, coinciding with the continuation of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

IOF storming West Bank

Earlier this morning, Israeli occupation forces stormed several towns in the occupied West Bank, including the town of Yabad southwest of Jenin, the village of Fasayil north of Areeha, and al-Luban al-Sharkiya south of Nablus.

An Israeli force stormed the town of Husan west of Beit Lahm and stationed itself in al-Matinah area at the eastern entrance that it blocked, leading to confrontations with Palestinian youths.

Palestinian Resistance fighters confronted Israeli occupation forces at the entrance of the town of Silat al-Harithiya west of Jenin in the West Bank. The fighters also opened fire at occupation forces storming the town of Kafr Dan west of Jenin.

In addition, Palestinian youths targeted Israeli forces with a homemade explosive device during the storming of the town of Azoun east of Qalqilya.

In the same context, Israeli occupation police assaulted citizens in the Armenian Quarter of the Old City of occupied al-Quds after they resisted an attempt by Israeli settlers to take over a parking lot and homes at the entrance to the main church in the neighborhood.
