The response to the assassination of martyr Mohammad Nehme Nasser began swiftly on Wednesday, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, the head of Hezbollah's Executive Council pointed out on Thursday.

Hezbollah mourned Wednesday one of its leaders, martyr Mohammad Nehme Nasser, "Hajj Abu Nehme", on the path to al-Quds. Nasser was killed alongside his assistant in an Israeli airstrike that targeted al-Haouch. Shortly after, Hezbollah carried out four operations against Israeli military sites and soldiers along the border with occupied Palestine in response to the assassination.

In a speech during a ceremony in honor of Hajj Abu Nehme, Sayyed Safieddine emphasized that the series of responses to Hajj Abu Nehme's assassination is still ongoing and will continue, adding that the Israeli occupation should not think that, after targeting Resistance commanders, it can deal with the south of Lebanon as an open arena.

Earlier on Thursday, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah confirmed that its fighters targeted several Israeli military sites with over 200 rockets and a swarm of drones in retaliation for Nasser's assassination.

Sayyed Safieddine highlighted that Hezbollah's responses to the assassination included the targeting of new sites that "Israel" did not expect would be bombarded, pointing out that it is certain that the series of operations resulted in many Israeli casualties and injuries.

The senior Hezbollah official vowed that the front along the border with occupied Palestine against "Israel" will remain raging and will only become stronger, noting that the Lebanese Resistance group has learned from its long battle with the enemy.

He made it clear that when a leader is martyred, another is passed the baton to tread on the same path with renewed determination.

Sayyed Safieddine stressed that the latest Israeli assassination does not give it any military advantage and is not considered an achievement, affirming that the real achievement is what martyr Abu Nehme had accomplished.

He highlighted that while Resistance leaders are present on the front lines, hundreds of Israeli officers openly declare that they will withdraw from the battle.

The head of Hezbollah's Executive Council said that after successive strikes, the Israeli military will never be able to achieve any victory in any coming battle or confrontation.

According to Sayyed Safieddine, the Israeli military is "heading toward a resounding defeat" in the face of the steadfastness of the people of Gaza and their Resistance.

Elsewhere, he concluded his speech by saying, "The assassination of leaders does not diminish our enthusiasm for the fight, rather, this blood will bring us new victory."
