Restraint impossible in light of 'Israel's' crimes: Amir-Abdollahian
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian underlines that restraint is no longer an option in the face of the crimes the Israeli occupation is committing against Palestinians.
US President Joe Biden visiting "Tel Aviv" at this time, shortly after the massacre that took place in Al-Maamadani Hospital, is a clear reflection of Washington's pro-Israeli stance that goes as far as unconditionally backing the occupation's crimes, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Wednesday during a meeting with Qatari State Minister for Foreign Affairs Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi on the sidelines of the Jeddah summit.
Amir-Abdollahian and Al-Muraikhi held their meeting on Wednesday on the sideline of the urgent meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
"US State Secretary Antony Blinken was in the Zionists' command rooms as he asks others to show restraint," the Iranian top diplomat underlined.
"The United States must know that it is impossible to show restraint as the Zionist entity does what it wants to under the protection of the United States," Amir-Abdollahian said.
He further stressed the need for Islamic countries to expel the Israeli occupation's ambassadors and envoys.
Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan underlined that the exacerbated humanitarian crises in Gaza must be mitigated, noting that his state was against the forced displacement of the Palestinian people, as well as any acts of aggression in Gaza.
"The statements made by the occupation's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, after the bombing of the hospital in Gaza, are insolent, and they completely strip the Palestinian people of their humanity," bin Farhan added, accusing the Israeli occupation of deliberately bombing Al-Maamadani hospital.
"Some parties are disregarding the rights of the Palestinian people and violating their dignity," he added, demanding an end to the war of aggression and the "vicious settlement campaign."
Hundreds were massacred after the Israeli Occupation Forces targeted the al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City, which became a refuge for hundreds of Palestinian women and children who lost their residences due to the ongoing Israeli aggression, alongside the tens of injured doctors, nurses, and medical crews.
Yesterday, hours after the massacre that the Israeli occupation committed against defenseless civilians in al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza, Amir-Abdollahian took to X to further call on leaders to put an end to "Israel's" crimes.
Amir-Abdollahian stressed that "the time has come for global human unity against this [Israeli] fake regime that is more abominable than ISIS and its killing machine."
While his entire post was in Farsi, the top Iranian diplomat ended it with: "Time is OVER," in English.
Some Israeli and pro-Israeli accounts claimed it was a failed resistance launch, but based on the speed of the object it's not possible for it to be a missile, as dud rockets failing to accelerate would have much lower speeds.
The speed difference can be easily identified between gliding munition launched from the air and failing-to-accelerate dud missiles. Hence, the object that hit the hospital was most definitely an Israeli airstrike.
Despite global appeals to protect healthcare facilities from Israeli airstrikes and forced displacement orders, Israeli threats have targeted hospitals in the Gaza Strip, endangering the well-being of patients and the wounded. "Israel" demanded on Saturday that al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza forcibly evacuate its patients and staff within two hours.
Israeli warplanes also conducted airstrikes in the vicinity of the hospital in Tel al-Zaatar, northern Gaza, as part of their attempt to exert pressure on the hospital and expedite the displacement process.
In the same context, al-Durra Children's Hospital in the east of the Gaza Strip was forced to evacuate its staff and patients after it was pounded with white phosphorus munitions.
This situation unfolds as the healthcare system in Gaza faces a severe crisis, marked by dwindling medication supplies and electricity shortages due to the total Israeli blockade.
