Robert Kennedy says CIA responsible for JFK's assassination
The CIA says on its website that conspiracies linking the agency to JFK's assassination are a "lie."
Democratic presidential candidate lawyer Robert Kennedy Jr. said in an interview on Sunday that the CIA was responsible for his uncle's assassination in 1963.
"There is overwhelming evidence that the CIA was involved in [John F Kennedy's] murder. I think it’s beyond a reasonable doubt at this point," the candidate said on WABC 770 AM's Cats Roundtable show with John Catsimatidis while referring to James Douglas' book "JFK and the Unspeakable."
Kennedy Jr. said that the CIA was not only involved in the late 35th US President's assassination but also in "the cover-up" of the crime.

On November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, sparking a frenzy of public inquiry. Several investigations concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald fired the shots, and he was apprehended shortly after the murder. Two days later, he was shot while being escorted to a car that was supposed to take him to the county jail by Jack Ruby, the owner of a Dallas club. In the decades since the events, a plethora of conspiracy theories have emerged in an attempt to explain the assassination of John F. Kennedy and the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald.

Robert Kennedy Jr's father, Senator Robert Kennedy, was also gunned down in 1968, after which a Palestinian man was accused and convicted over his murder.
Sirhan Sirhan, who has spent more than half a decade behind bars over wrongful allegations, was granted parole in August 2021, succeeding on his 16th appeal after the previous fifteen were denied.
Sirhan is a Palestinian refugee who was displaced at the age of 4 along with his family during the creation of “Israel.” Immigrating to the US at the age of 12, Sirhan lived in New York before eventually moving to Los Angeles. He was never granted American citizenship.
After Robert F. Kennedy’s death and his public trial in what became known as The People of the State of California v. Sirhan Sirhan, he was sentenced to death in the gas chamber, but the sentence was overturned and he was commuted to life.
Sirhan Sirhan has repeatedly stated that he had no recollection of ever gunning down the senator, a claim corroborated by Kennedy’s son, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who after a lengthy meeting with Sirhan in 2018 told him he believed in his innocence and that a second gunman was the one responsible for the assassination.

Robert Kennedy Jr. a candidate
The 69-year-old Democratic candidate announced his candidacy for the presidential race on April 19, 2023. During his announcement, Kennedy attacked the US foreign policy and the CIA's involvement in creating it during a campaign event to begin his 2024 presidential campaign in Boston.
"When my uncle came into office, two months later he was fighting his intelligence apparatus and his military," according to Kennedy.
He continued by highlighting the crucial role that the CIA played in the invasion of Iraq, adding: "And so the neocons and CIA got to go into Iraq and do regime change. We spent $8 trillion and what did we get for it? Nothing... Iraq is now much worse off than it was when we went in there. We killed more Iraqis than Saddam Hussein ever did."
The candidate highlighted that the US "created ISIS and drove two million refugees into Europe."
Kennedy noted that he had been "censored" for 18 years, and exclaimed he had "a lot to talk about."
"They shouldn't have shut me up for that long because now I'm really going to let loose on them for the next 18 months. They're going to hear a lot from me!"
