Russia, Oman scrap Visas and sign new cooperation deals
Russia and Oman have agreed to lift visa requirements and signed several cooperation deals, including a media partnership and plans to boost ties in energy, trade, and agriculture.

Russia and Oman have signed a new agreement to lift visa requirements for their citizens, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral ties.
Russia and the Sultanate of Oman on Tuesday signed an agreement for the mutual cancellation of visa requirements for citizens of both countries, during an official ceremony held at the Kremlin following talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman.
Additionally, Russia's media group "Rossiya Segodnya" and Oman's Ministry of Information, represented by the Oman News Agency, signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at information exchange and strengthening media relations between the two sides. The document was signed by the CEO of the group, Dmitry Kiselyov, and Oman's ambassador to Russia, Hamood bin Salim Al Tuwikh.
During his meeting with President Putin, the Sultan of Oman expressed interest in potential cooperation with Russia in agriculture, energy, and trade, noting that relations with Russia are strong and that the country aims to shape its ties with a distinctive character.
For his part, President Putin revealed that Russia is planning to hold a summit with Arab nations later this year, emphasizing that the Sultan of Oman’s visit to Russia was prepared with a robust set of documents. Additionally, the Russian President highlighted Russia’s anticipation of further steps to deepen energy cooperation with the Sultanate of Oman.
