Russia MoD unveils tally of 13th day of spec op in Ukraine
The Russian defense ministry unveils the new Ukrainian military facilities it demolished in Ukraine as part of its special operation to demilitarize the country.
Moscow has announced a humanitarian ceasefire in Ukraine for Wednesday morning to carry out the evacuation of the civilian population, Russian news agencies as reporting.
"From 10:00 MSK (0700 GMT) on March 9, 2022, the Russian Federation is declaring a regime of silence and is ready to provide humanitarian corridors," a cell of the Russian defense ministry charged with humanitarian operations in Ukraine said Tuesday.
Civilian evacuations took place on Tuesday morning, in particular from the town of Sumy, where two convoys left during the day.
Moscow said it was ready to establish humanitarian corridors with cooperation with Ukraine from Kiev and the residential areas neighboring Russia, such as Chernihiv, through Belarus.
The Russian defense ministry unveiled the tally of the 13th day of the special military operation in Ukraine, which President Vladimir Putin launched on February 24 to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine.
The Russian Armed Forces took control of two Ukrainian residential areas, and the Russian aerospace forces destroyed 23 military facilities in Ukraine, including 23 areas with a high concentration of arms and equipment, the Russian ministry of defense said in a statement.
"The Russian armed forces destroyed 2,581 Ukrainian infrastructure facilities during the operation," the statement added.
Moscow also said the Donetsk People's Republic advanced about a kilometer in Mariupol, southern Ukraine.
The Russian forces destroyed 123 S-300, Buk M-1, and Osa anti-aircraft missile systems since the beginning of the operation in Ukraine.
The Russian armed forces took over Izium, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported, citing Ukrainian soldiers. This step will lead to Moscow taking control of the supply routes to the Ukrainian forces in Donbass, opening the way to Kharkov from the southeast.
"Without any participation from Ukraine, Russia has been able to evacuate 773,173 civilians from conflict areas in Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics to Russia, 44,187 of which are children," the Russian defense ministry added.
Moscow had previously revealed the Russian army demolished over 2,100 military facilities, as per ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov.
