Russia MoD unveils tally of 27th day of spec op in Ukraine
Russia's special military operation sees Moscow advancing for another day into Ukraine, not only making more progress on the ground but inflicting more losses on the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Since the beginning of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, Moscow's forces have downed 236 UAVs and destroyed 185 anti-aircraft missile systems and 1,547 tanks and armored vehicles, Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said Tuesday.
He also revealed to a press briefing that the Russian Armed Forces destroyed 154 multiple rocket launchers, 612 Howitzers, and mortars, in addition to 1,343 military vehicles.
Ukrainian losses over past 24 hours
The Russian Armed Forces destroyed 137 Ukrainian military facilities, including communication centers, Konashenkov added.
Among the military targets destroyed were two multiple rocket launchers, an anti-aircraft missile system, eight ammunition warehouses, and 101 weapons depots, he said in the ministry's daily statement on Ukraine's losses.
The Russian forces also destroyed "3 tanks, 4 infantry fighting vehicles, 4 field artillery pieces, and 6 off-road vehicles." He also revealed that the Russian air defenses downed 14 Ukrainian drones, including one Bayraktar-TB2.

Russian Ka-52 and Mi-28 aircraft also destroyed nine Ukrainian tanks, seven military vehicles, and armored personnel carriers during the past day, Konashenkov underscored.
Konashenkov also highlighted major Russian advances in Ukraine, saying the Russian armed forces advanced another 6 km into Ukraine.
A group of the Donetsk People's Republic forces advanced 4 km into the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 25th battalion, the spokesperson said, noting that they were now fighting for control over a number of towns after they took over several others.
Russia launched its special military operation for several reasons, including NATO's eastward expansion. Other reasons were the Ukrainian shelling of Donbass and the killing of the people of the Donetsk People's Republic and Lugansk People's Republic, in addition to Moscow wanting to "denazify" and demilitarize Ukraine.
