Russia operation aimed at derailing West's ominous plans: Lavrov
The Russian Foreign Minister says the transition to real multipolarity will take a long time, and the West will resist it drastically.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov considered on Monday that the West’s hysterical reaction to the Ukraine war only confirms Russia's conclusion that the special military operation was necessary.
Since the war began in Ukraine, Western countries such as the US and Britain, as well as European states, have aggressively supplied Kiev with billions of dollars worth of weaponry and hysterically imposed numerous sanctions against Russia, adding fuel to the fire in the war.
Lavrov said that "the hysterical reaction of our Western colleagues from the US team to our actions as part of the special military operation only confirms our key conclusion that the special military operation - and we already have evidence of this - that it was absolutely necessary to derail their plans of making Ukraine a permanent threat to Russia’s security."
"This reaction revealed that the West has understood that our actions wrecked their geopolitical games and plans," he added.
The top Russian diplomat pointed out that the "transition to real multipolarity" will take a long time and "the West will resist it drastically" but considered that the majority of countries do not share the West’s approach and oppose its attempts to dominate.
"The overwhelming majority of world nations obviously do not support the attempts we have seen in recent years to establish the United States’ and its Western allies’ domination in the global arena by means of force, illegitimate sanctions, ultimatums, blackmail, and threats. No one likes it and I am convinced that the historical process is already giving its verdict," Lavrov indicated.
The Russian Foreign Minister affirmed that Russia will build its foreign policy by relying on partners who are capable of negotiating.
It is noteworthy that on Sunday, Russian President Vladimir Putin considered that the world is currently in a state of change but all that is for the better and that the world is heading toward becoming a fairer place.

According to Putin, a fairer world would be one "where all peoples are truly equal, where everyone has the right to be respected, follow their traditions, speak their native language, honor their ancestors and have an opportunity for self-realization no matter their background."
