Russia raids 100+ supporters of Ukraine-linked neo-Nazi terror group
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has announced in a statement that it has raided "106 supporters of the Ukrainian neo-Nazi youth group MKU."
In a statement, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced that it has conducted a series of searches and probes against the "106 supporters of the Ukrainian neo-Nazi youth group MKU."
The FSB asserted that the group is directed by Ukraine, and that it was founded by a Ukrainian citizen named Yegor Krasnov, who was operating under the auspices of the Ukrainian security services.
Krasnov was the orchestrator behind telling the MKU supporters to commit terrorist acts and mass killings.
The FSB seized the group's pistols, rifles, machine guns, and tear gas as the crackdown carried through.
According to TASS, the FSB has conducted a number of raids on the MKU this year which led to the detainment of around 60 people.
This occurred less than two weeks after the FSB caught 3 Ukrainian spies - one had been planning a terrorist attack.
A law enforcement official told AFP Krasnov had been arrested in January 2020 and was under investigation for a series of armed attacks as well as an assassination attempt on the grounds of racial, national and religious intolerance.
Furthermore, according to the official, although the organization suspended its activities after the arrest of Krasnov, the organization started recruiting new members.
Militants under the guise
Yesterday, the Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova revealed that Western nations are transferring militants to Ukraine, guised as instructors.
Zakharova told Russia's Krym 24 broadcaster "Ukraine is being pumped with armament, meaning, direct supplies, future contracts, and, as you see, these are multi-million, billion contracts as a whole," adding that they are dispatching their militants "disguised as instructors."
On December 8, US President Joe Biden stated that sending in US troops to confront Russia is "not on the table."
According to Biden, the US already collaborates closely with the Ukrainian military and has provided millions of dollars in weaponry. However, Biden made it clear that sending US troops to confront Russia was "not on the table."
