Russian defenses down 2 drones in vicinity of Hmeimim base
The Russian forces in Syria confirm that the Hmeimim base is operating normally with no casualties or damage recorded as a result of a drone attack.
A spokesperson for the Russian forces in Syria announced that the Russian air defense systems have downed two drones near the Russian Hmeimim Air Base in western Syria.
Interfax also reported that Russian forces in Syria downed two drones used by illegal armed formations to open fire on the Hmeimim base.

The Russian spokesperson said the armed groups continue their attempts to attack the Hmeimim base with drones, confirming that the base is operating normally with no casualties or damage recorded as a result of the attack.
Located in the southeast of the Syrian province of Latakia, the Russian Hmeimim base has previously been subjected to drone attack attempts by armed groups, most of which are located in the neighboring province of Idlib.
