A few months ago, Iran announced that it was ready to hold the fifth round of negotiations of talks with Saudi Arabia in Baghdad, seeing that the solution to the issues with Riyadh comes only through dialogue that would achieve regional and international interests.
Tehran had announced presenting Riyadh with some proposals about bilateral relations, clarifying that the Islamic Republic was ready to resume diplomatic ties if Saudi so wishes.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian had underlined that his country started taking the appropriate measures to reopen the Iranian embassy in Riyadh and the Saudi embassy in Tehran.
He also noted that the KSA had agreed to issue visas for three Iranian diplomats at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah.
