Russian forces repel attempted attack by Ukrainian troops in Kharkov
The Russian Defense Ministry confirms that the Russian forces destroyed two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the Kupyansk direction.
Russian military units have repelled an attempted attack by Ukrainian troops in the Kharkov Region near the villages of Masyutivka and Hryanykivka, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesperson Evgeni Polovodov told Sputnik.
"In the defense zone of the [Russian] 6th Combined Arms Army near the villages of Masyutovka and Gryanikovka, the personnel of the [Ukrainian] 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade tried to attack our positions," Polovodov said.
The Spokesperson continued, "With the support of artillery, motorized rifle units inflicted fire damage on the enemy, as a result of which the enemy was forced to retreat to previously occupied positions."

In the same context, Polovodov confirmed that the Russian forces destroyed two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the Kupyansk direction, adding that the rotation of Ukrainian troops has been disrupted.
"During the day, in the Kupyansk direction, near the villages of Rozovka and Novoselovskoye, reconnaissance measures helped locate and artillery fire destroyed two enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups," the Russian Defense Ministry Spokesperson told Sputnik.
He mentioned that "the transfer of reserves and two rotations of units of the armed forces of Ukraine were disrupted" in the Kupyansk direction.
In addition, two Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicles were destroyed on the eastern outskirts of the village of Stelmakhivka.
Furthermore, the Russian Defense Ministry said a Russian Lancet kamikaze drone has destroyed a Ukrainian multiple-launch rocket system (MLRS) with a high-precision strike in the Avdiivka direction.
The Ministry released video footage on Saturday of a Czechoslovakia-produced RM-70 multiple rocket launcher getting hit and subsequently destroyed by the Russian loitering munition.
It explained that "the combat vehicle was discovered by UAV [unmanned aerial vehicle] crews in the Avdeevka direction in the zone of the special military operation. After that, it was destroyed by high-precision loitering munition [Lancet]."
The Ministry indicated that the Russian loitering munition is effectively used to destroy the military equipment of the Ukrainian troops, such as artillery pieces, tanks, armored vehicles, and air defense systems.
