Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov told reporters on Saturday that two units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) attempted to launch an offensive near the Pravdino settlement in the Kherson Region.

Konashenkov said that the "Two units of the enemy’s 28th Mechanized Brigade, supported by nine tanks and 16 armored vehicles, unsuccessfully attempted to launch an offensive operation near the Pravdino settlement in the Kherson Region," adding that the Russian army "killed over 120 Ukrainian troops, destroyed seven tanks and 13 infantry fighting vehicles in a few hours.".

Furthermore, Konashenkov added that Russian air defenses also downed eight Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles and intercepted 25 Olkha and HIMARS rockets in the past 24 hours.

The drones were downed near the Pokrovskoye, Berestovoye, and Kodema settlements in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Pologi settlement in the Zaporozhye Region, the Novovoskresenskoye and Chkalovo settlements in the Kherson Region and the Komsomolskoye settlement in the Nikolayev Region. Moreover, 25 Olkha and HIMARS rockets were intercepted near Novaya Kakhovka and Kherson.

The Defense Ministry also revealed that a total of 293 aircraft, 155 helicopters, 1,973 drones, 375 air defense missile systems, 4,998 tanks, and other armored combat vehicles, 837 multiple rocket launchers, 3,393 field artillery systems, and mortars, as well as 5,640 military motor vehicles, have been destroyed since the start of the Ukraine war.

According to the Russian MoD spokesperson, the Russian strikes on the positions of the UAF in the Donetsk People’s Republic killed over 230 Ukrainian troops.

"Concentrated fire strikes on the combat positions of the 58th and 93rd Motorized Infantry Brigades near Druzhkovka and Artyomovsk and the positions of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade near Zaitsevo in the Donetsk People’s Republic killed over 230 Ukrainian troops, destroyed ten tanks and 23 combat armored vehicles," he explained.

Regarding the tensions in the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant region, Konashenkov said that "The Kiev regime resumed provocations to create the threat of a man-made disaster at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant. Two artillery attacks on the Volna suburban settlement and a thermal electric substation located in close proximity to the nuclear facility were recorded in the past 24 hours."

Konashenkov also told the briefing that 15 artillery shells were fired from the Nikopol area in the Dnepropetrovsk Region. "The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ artillery units were suppressed by return fire. Radiation levels at the Zaporozhye NPP remain normal."

Additionally, over 140 troops from two Ukrainian brigades were killed or wounded in strikes carried out by the Russian aerospace, missile and artillery forces in the past 24 hours, Konashenkov said.

"The Russian Aerospace Forces, missile and artillery forces conducted large-scale strikes on the positions of Ukrainian troops and reserves. Over 140 Ukrainian troops from the 46th Airborne Brigade stationed near Bereznegovatoye and Belikoye Artakovo in the Nikolayev Region and the 24th Mechanized Brigade positioned near Bezymennoye in the Kherson Region were killed or wounded in high-precision strikes, while five tanks and 14 other pieces military equipment were destroyed," he specified.

Konashenkov also noted that over 50 militants from Ukraine’s Kraken nationalist regiment and from two brigades of the UAF were killed in the Russian Aerospace Forces’ strikes in the Kharkov Region.

"High-precision strikes carried out by the Russian Aerospace Forces on the temporary bases of the Kraken nationalist unit, the 92nd Mechanized Brigade and the 81st Airborne Brigade near Dvurechnoye, Shevchenkovo and Kupyansk in the Kharkov Region killed over 50 nationalists and destroyed ten pieces of special military equipment and motor vehicles," he pointed out.

As for the Russian aircraft, missile, and artillery forces, five UAF command posts have been targeted in the past 24 hours, Konashenkov said.

In his statement, he said that "Strikes carried out by tactical and army aircraft, missile and artillery forces hit five command posts of the UAF near Piskunovka, Seversk, Novoukrainka and Artyomovsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic, and near Kamyshevakha in the Zaporozhye Region. In addition, 53 artillery units, troops and military equipment were targeted in 117 areas."

Konashenkov lastly noted that four missile and artillery arms and ammunition depots were wiped out near the Zolochev settlement in the Kharkov Region, Kirovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Omelnik and Veselyanka in the Zaporozhye Region.
