Al-Mashat: Sanaa to boost military arsenal, conduct drills on islands
The head of the Supreme Political Council in Yemen stresses that Sanaa "is working with all force to deter aggression."
The head of the Supreme Political Council in Yemen, Mahdi al-Mashat, pointed out on Sunday that the aggression against Yemen is aimed at spreading ignorance, hunger, poverty, and deprivation, but it is the will, fortitude, and strength of the Yemeni people that prevented the aggression from achieving its goals.
During his visit to Al-Mahweet Governorate in northern Yemen, al-Mashat said the war against the aggression is not limited to military confrontation, saying, "We are fighting a war of wills."
"The aggression wants us to die while we are seeking a life with dignity," he stressed.
The Yemeni leader praised "the steadfastness of all the honorable people of Yemen, led by the proud tribes of Al-Mahweet," explaining that all the propaganda carried out by the aggression proves that it is bankrupt, and this means that the weapons of confrontation have proven to be futile, so the countries of the aggression returned to the methods of misinformation and false propaganda.
He also indicated that the Yemeni armed forces will work to develop their military arsenal, revealing that "in the future, we will carry out drills on some Yemeni islands."

A few days ago, the Yemeni military media broadcast exclusive scenes showing the Yemeni armed forces using the Badr 1 rocket to strike enemy targets.
Commenting on these scenes, the expert on military and political affairs, Abd Al-Ghani Al-Zubaidi, told Al Mayadeen that these rockets bypass the US-UK radar systems that were sold to Saudi Arabia.
On Sunday, al-Mashat addressed the people of the Yemeni governorate of Al-Mahweet, saying that the aggression seeks no good for the Yemeni people and that any propaganda coming from it is vile.
The head of the Supreme Political Council in Yemen pointed out that the enemy is arrogant and knows only the language of force, stressing that Sanaa "is working with all force to deter aggression."
In a related context, al-Mashat confirmed that the Central Intervention Unit will cooperate in 214 projects with the people of Al-Mahweet, adding that he directed the Ministry of Finance to approve the construction of 10 schools for Al-Mahweet Governorate and to restore most of the schools in the governorate.
The Yemeni leader stressed the necessity of paying attention to the educational process, adding, "We shall not surrender the younger generation to the enemy who wants to impede education by any means."
He made it clear that the Sanaa government will move to rebuild what was destroyed and provide numerous services to people, adding that "whenever the wars subside, we will head to build generations to immunize them from the conspiracies of the enemies."
A few days ago, the Supreme Economic Committee in Sanaa confirmed that the policy of starvation and looting pursued by the countries of aggression in the occupied Yemeni regions has harmed all the Yemeni people.
The Committee said in a statement that the deterioration of the economic and living situation in the occupied Yemeni regions is the result of the corruption of the aggression's mercenaries over the past eight years.
