Saudi Arabia urgently requests missiles from US
Saudi Arabia is requesting its allies to supply it with ammunition for its war on Yemen, while a Yemeni military source says Saudi aggression committed 116 violations in Hodeidah.
The Saudi government is urgently appealing to the US, Gulf allies, and the EU, to resupply it with ammunition to use in its confrontations with the Ansar Allah movement in Yemen, US newspaper The Wall Street Journal reported.
The newspaper quoted US and Saudi officials as saying that the ammunition used by the Kingdom will soon run out, and Riyadh is worried that the number of its interceptor missiles has significantly decreased.
In return, the US is studying the option of selling interceptor missiles to the Saudis, as well as approving transferring military equipment through other regimes such as the Qatari regime.
It is noteworthy that three members of the US Senate announced that a group of Senators is opposing the first major arms deal to Saudi Arabia under President Joe Biden's administration, in protest of the Kingdom's participation in the war on Yemen.
Republican Senators Rand Paul and Mike Lee, as well as independent Senator Bernie Sanders, have introduced a bill to freeze the proposed $650 million arms deal with Saudi Arabia, which would export 280 Raytheon-made missiles and 596 missile launchers.
This comes as the US Senate is expected to hold a vote this week on an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act to ban all US support for the Saudi war on Yemen, including the proposed arms deal.
Yemeni official: Saudi regime will be held responsible for its massacres
A few days ago, Ali al-Qahoum, a member of the Ansar Allah Movement's Political Bureau, told Al Mayadeen that "the international silence regarding the coalition massacre is shameful," and pointed out that the Saudi regime is floundering after failing in achieving the US destructive plan in Yemen.
The Yemeni official vowed that the regime will be held responsible for its massacres against the Yemeni people and noted that the action against this regime is a duty in response to its crimes.
On Tuesday, the Yemeni armed forces announced the implementation of the Seventh of December operation on military and vital targets in Riyadh, Jeddah, Taif, Jizan, Najran, and Asir with several ballistic missiles and 25 drones.
Meanwhile, the Saudi coalition against Yemen announced in a statement published on Monday, that its air defenses had destroyed a ballistic missile that was launched towards the capital, Riyadh.
116 Saudi violations in Hodeidah
Earlier, a military source in the Sanaa government reported the Saudi aggression on Yemen, which included 116 violations in Hodeidah, 4 air raids on Hays, al-Jarrahi, and al-Jabariyah, in addition to flying 8 warplanes and 11 spy planes.
The source mentioned that 58 breaches were caused by artillery shelling and 36 breaches by various ammunition.
The Saudi coalition bombed areas south of Hodeidah controlled by the army and the committees with 233 artillery shells.
