The deputy head of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, Lieutenant-General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, said the Saudi coalition undermines the humanitarian and military armistice in Yemen.
Today, Tuesday, Al-Ruwaishan said that "the countries of the US-Saudi aggression continue to undermine the humanitarian and military armistice," noting that "the humanitarian armistice is to expire soon, and the Yemeni people have not felt any impact on the humanitarian aspects."
The Yemeni official confirmed that "the countries of aggression are violating the armistice on a daily basis," explaining that they "only replaced the warplanes with drones," and that Sanaa "is informing the Office of the UN envoy and the international community of these violations."
He hoped that there would be "seriousness and credibility on the part of the coalition of aggression, during the remainder of the armistice period, by abiding by its humanitarian aspect."
"Al-Ruwaishan warned against exploiting the humanitarian situation for political pressure," saying, "Continuing pressure in the humanitarian file will not achieve any military and security objectives."
He also touched on the negotiations and political solution in Yemen, adding, "Negotiating to stop the war is with the countries of aggression, because the aggression is external, and the political solution will be among Yemenis, and this is Sanaa's constant position."
Al-Ruwaishan described the "release of Yemeni civilian detainees in Saudi Arabia under the name of prisoners of war" as "part of the propaganda war of the countries of aggression and a continuation of escaping from the entitlements of the prisoners' file."

The head of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, Muhammad Abdul Salam, said in a tweet today, “The terms of the armistice are clear and unambiguous; they stipulate the cessation of military operations and the opening of the port of Al-Hudaydah to a certain number of ships and the opening of Sanaa Airport for two flights per week and to two destinations: Jordan and Egypt."
Abd al-Salam continued: "Whoever makes up any other terms is the one who obstructs the implementation of the armistice, and humanely, he is supposed to be dealt with without any politicization."
The armistice which was recently announced between Yemen and Saudi Arabia has come into effect on April 2 at 7 pm local time. The UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, announced that "under this truce, all offensive military operations, by land, air, and sea, will cease," but the Sanaa government has been seeing since then daily violations by Saudi warplanes, especially drones, as well as attacks by the militias affiliated with the coalition.
