Sayyed Nasrallah: Resistance factions' unity foiled enemy's goals
Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah tackles the Israeli aggression on Gaza, saying the occupation seeks to strike the leadership structure of the Al-Quds Brigades and destroy its missile force.
On the seventh anniversary of the martyrdom of leader Mustafa Badreddine, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah hailed the martyrs who were killed in the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip and extended his condolences on the occasion of the martyrdom of prisoner Khader Adnan.
"The Israeli enemy is the side that initiated the aggression in this round by assassinating the martyred leaders of Al-Quds Brigades along with 7 women and several children," Sayyed Nasrallah said, noting that "Netanyahu is seeking, through the aggression, to treat the wounds of fragmentation in his government coalition and improve his popular status."
He further noted that "the occupation seeks to strike the leadership structure of Al-Quds Brigades and destroy its missile force, thinking that the aggression will lead to the weakening of the leadership of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement and the restoration of deterrence [on the front] with Gaza."
Commenting on the Resistance’s response, Sayyed Nasrallah said the leadership of the Islamic Jihad Movement dealt wisely and calmly in the aftermath of the assassination of Al-Quds Brigades leaders and communicated with the leadership of Al-Qassam Brigades to make sure that the Resistance’s position is unified.
Hezbollah Secretary-General stressed that the “highlight of the Resistance reaction in Gaza is the Joint Operations Room of the Resistance factions," noting that the unity of the position of the resistance factions has obstructed the occupation and prevented it from achieving its goals.
He further stated that "the Resistance factions enjoy huge capabilities that enable them to quickly restore their political and military leadership structure,” noting that Al-Quds Brigades' quick restoration of their leadership structure startled the occupation.
Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that the fact that the rockets reached “Tel Aviv” and occupied Al-Quds confused the occupation, noting that "Netanyahu cannot lie to the Israeli society by saying that he has restored deterrence, as the Resistance in Gaza stands strong, and it has thwarted the enemy's goal of restoring deterrence."
Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out that the current situation forces the enemy to understand very well that any assassination operation will not go unanswered and will lead to a broader confrontation, adding that today's battle is to protect and guarantee the security of the Palestinian people.
He also said that "the battle of Gaza is important and its effects are not limited to the Strip, but rather extend to the entire region," affirming that Hezbollah is in constant contact with the leadership of the Resistance in Gaza and "will not hesitate to provide assistance at any time when such responsibility is imposed."
According to Sayyed Nasrallah, Lebanon is mostly affected by issues, developments, and events in the region, and one must examine the facts with sincerity and not evade them.
Those who thought that "Israel" would remain in Lebanon and that the country had succumbed to the Israeli era turned out to be wrong, and all their bets collapsed because they were based on wrong calculations, he stressed.
Syria hasn't diverged its position or axis: Sayyed Nasrallah
Touching on Syria's readmission to the Arab League and Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad's invitation to the Arab summit, the Resistance leader suggested that the two events were significant indicators.
The Hezbollah Secretary-General made it clear that "Syria stood strong and did not change its position or the axis it belongs to, and today, it is strongly present in the Turkish elections in the sense that candidates rush to present their perception of the relationship with the country."
Sayyed Nasrallah said Hezbollah supports "every positive development over Syria, and we are among those who receive blessings for every moral, political and military victory for Syria," adding that in every progress, recovery, and victory for Syria, the Resistance party remembers its martyrs and their sacrifices, as well as its alienation when the whole world criticized Hezbollah for choosing to support the country.
According to Sayyed Nasrallah, "Every positive development in Syria took place blessed by the steadfastness of its leadership, army, and people," affirming that the situation in the country is on its way to achieving a breakthrough.
He said the harsh days that Syria witnessed will not return despite the US continued theft of Syrian oil and gas and its insistence on imposing the blockade and the Caesar Act against the country.
He also indicated that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's visit to Syria is an affirmation of the Iranian-Syrian strategic relations at various levels.
Hezbollah Secretary-General stresses need to restore Lebanese-Syrian relations
Sayyed Nasrallah stressed the need to restore Lebanese-Syrian relations, noting that "if Hezbollah was the side that takes decisions in the country, relations with Syria would have been restored a long time ago."
He also stressed that the Lebanese caretaker government is required to restore normal relations with Syria, highlighting that the restoration of relations would be in the interest of Lebanon in various fields.
The Lebanese leader said when it comes to the Arab situation, there are no permanent enmities, calling for benefiting from the positive political ambiance.
Regarding the file of the displaced Syrians, Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that this file should not be dealt with through incitement and social media platforms, but rather it must be through a Lebanese security ministerial delegation that visits Damascus and coordinates to deal with the crisis.
He added that a sovereign decision in coordination with the Syrian state is a prerequisite for addressing the file of the Syrian displacement, underlining that Hezbollah does not prevent anyone from returning to the Syrian border villages, slamming all the propaganda about the matter as "a big lie."
The Resistance leader also underscored that Hezbollah is the most enthusiastic side about the return of the people of Al-Qusayr and other villages to their homes.
Sayyed Nasrallah denies news about drug smugglers in Syria being linked to Hezbollah
In a related context, Sayyed Nasrallah described news about drug smugglers in Syria being allegedly linked to Hezbollah as "a lie, injustice, and slander," pointing out that had it not been for Hezbollah's help, the Lebanese authorities would not have been able to confront a number of drug dealers in Lebanon.
"With every incident that occurs, Hezbollah is accused of Captagon trade, and all of that is lies, betrayal, and lack of morals," he said.
He underlined that Hezbollah rejects the use of drug smugglers to deliver Resistance weapons to occupied Palestine, urging the Lebanese state to reveal the names of drug dealers and promoters so that people know which parties they are affiliated with.
"Why are the names of those who receive drugs not published in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, and others?", he added.
Positive development in presidential election file
As for the Lebanese presidential election, Sayyed Nasrallah said there is a positive development in this file.
He confirmed that Hezbollah has chosen a natural and serious presidential candidate, stressing that the Lebanese Resistance party does not impose its candidate on anyone.
