Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday that intelligence services informed him about the presence of foreign-sponsored agents in the recent protests that took place in the capital city, Belgrade.
Vucic said that the West has been largely responsible for "causing problems" for Servia ever since the country refused "to hand them Kosovo on a platter."
Friday saw thousands of protesters rallying in the city of Belgrade, where so-called anti-violence protesters and a group of opposition politicians took part.
The purpose of the march was to demand the resignation of Interior Minister Bratislav Gasic and intelligence chief Aleksandar Vulin.
Several demonstrations have been taking place in Belgrade since two successive mass shootings shook the Balkan country.
Some of the demonstrators also demanded that Vucic resigns, according to RT Balkan.
"Today I have received information from our sister services from the East telling us ‘these are attempts at color revolutions’," Vucic said at a rally. "I told them I don’t know what they’re attempting, I only know that these are disgusting attempts to abuse the tragic deaths of some children."

The President did not disclose which countries' intel agencies had informed him about the presence of Western-sponsored agents.
"Serbia is fed up with your revolutions," he declared. "Serbia is fed up with the arrival of those under foreign influence and the destruction of everything that is Serbian."
"I will not threaten any of them," he said, referring to Serbian nationals working to serve foreign interests. "But we will not allow them to forcefully and illegally lead a policy against our national interests."
'Color revolution' is a term used to refer to movements funded and organized by Western governments with the specific intent of toppling down governments opposed to US and more generally western interests.
The CIA has mostly been involved in orchestrating such revolutions, deploying a panoply of NGOs to fund protests and destabilize foreign governments.
The first successful 'color revolution' was carried out in Yugoslavia in the year 2000, with a US-backed student movement forcing the resignation of former President Slobodan Milosevic, the President who fought defensively against reactionary secessionists supported by US imperialism to divide Yugoslavia and was defeated following a NATO occupation campaign that destroyed several cities across Serbia.
"They expected us to hand over the Republic of Kosovo to them on a platter and say ‘We have reconciled, you were right to bomb us’," Vucic said, adding that he would "never surrender,” and “never let them make Kosovo independent."
