Somalia government spokesperson wounded in suicide blast in capital
Somali police announce a suicide bomber is believed to have targeted Mohamed Ibrahim Moalimuu, who was rushed to hospital.
Somalia’s government spokesperson has been wounded in a suicide explosion that targeted him in the capital Mogadishu, state-run media reported.
The media reported that the bombing took place on Mecca Al-Mukarramah Street in the center of the capital, Mogadishu, without providing further details.

Al-Qaeda-related terrorist group Al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the attack.
No official statement has been issued by the Somali authorities about the incident so far.
