Abu Zaid: I believe that the Iranian operation was multi-layered, combining cyber and electronic attacks with coordinated on-the-ground infiltrations by agents
Abu Zaid: Usually, archives of such sensitivity are typically protected by a full-scale security system, but it appears that Iranian intelligence managed to make use of a gap in it
Strategic military expert Nidal Abu Zaid: Iran has stripped "Israel" of the superiority and deterrence long boasted by its security minister, chief of staff, and other top officials

The spokesperson for Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, declared Friday's attack on Israeli occupation forces in Khan Younis and Jabalia a continuation of what he called a “series of qualitative operations” by the Palestinian Resistance.

The statement followed an incident in the southern Gaza Strip, in which four Israeli soldiers were killed and five others wounded when a booby-trapped building collapsed on them.

In a statement posted on Telegram, Abu Obeida emphasized that the losses inflicted on the Israeli military are “a model of what awaits the occupation forces wherever they may be present.” He described the attack as part of a broader campaign of resistance, hailing the victory of “the faithful, oppressed faction” over a “tyrannical and arrogant enemy.”

"The mujahideen, inheritors of the prophets, are hurling David’s stones at Gideon’s chariots, crushing the arrogance of the occupation," Abu Obeida emphasized in reference to the Israeli military operation in Gaza.

Abu Obeida also issued a stark warning to the Israeli public, saying, “They have no choice but to pressure their leaders to stop the war of extermination—or prepare to receive more of their sons in coffins.”

According to the Israeli military, the soldiers were killed early Friday morning during a raid west of Bani Suheila in Khan Younis. Units from the elite Maglan commando force and the Yahalom combat engineering unit had entered a building believed to be used by Palestinian Resistance fighters and possibly containing tunnel infrastructure.

At approximately 6:10 am, just minutes after the troops entered, an explosive device detonated, causing the building to collapse on the soldiers. The blast killed four troops and injured five others, one of them critically.

The deceased included a soldier from the Maglan unit and another soldier from the Yahalom unit, while details on the other two soldiers are yet to be released.

An Israeli military spokesperson confirmed that “preliminary procedures” had been followed before entering the structure, including aerial reconnaissance and use of detection dogs and engineering equipment. However, the military has launched an investigation into how the booby trap evaded detection.

Israeli media: Hamas is well-prepared

Israeli media reported that Hamas had thoroughly prepared for this phase of the Israeli ground assault, studying army procedures and booby-trapping buildings in anticipation of raids. These reports align with Abu Obeida’s claim that Palestinian fighters are setting the tone for the battlefield through “heroic operations.”

As the Israeli government vows to continue its campaign, the Palestinian Resistance, led by Hamas’s al-Qassam Brigades, signals that such deadly ambushes may become a defining feature of the war's next phase.
