Sudan's Foreign Minister: No Information About Hamdok's Location

Sudan's Foreign Minister: Any attempt to impose power by military force is doomed to complete failure.
The Sudanese Foreign Minister Mariam al-Sadiq al-Mahdi told Al Mayadeen on Monday that all declared international stances on Sudan's situation support the transitional path.
Al-Mahdi confirmed that there is no information about Sudan's Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok's location and condition, adding that she doesn't have an explanation on what is going on.
The minister described the current events as unfortunate and said that any coup is rejected.
She also warned that any attempt to impose power by military force is doomed to complete failure, and affirmed that there will be resistance by all civil means.
The foreign minister pointed out that a solution to end the political tension is possible through dialogue, and noted that the Umma Party held talks with all sides to get end the current crisis.
On Monday, the Head of the Sudanese Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, declared a state of emergency and announced the dissolution of the Sovereign Council and the government, and called for elections in July 2023.
Sudan's Ministry of Information called on masses to cut roads off on military action until the coup is overthrown, demanding the release of the detainees.
In a statement, the Head of the Sudanese Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, said that the army will continue the "democratic transition until power is handed over to an elected civilian government," noting that there's a need for the army to protect the security and safety of the country as stipulated in the constitution.
Earlier, Sudan's "Professionals Association" called on citizens to hit the streets and resist any military coup.
