Sudan's Professionals Association Prepares for Nationwide Civil Disobedience
The Sudanese Professionals Association has called for nationwide civil disobedience across the country on Sunday and Monday, demanding the "immediate return" of the civilian-led government.
The Sudanese Professionals Association has announced, on Saturday, a set appointment to close up the roads, calling for nationwide civil disobedience on Sunday and Monday.
In a series of tweets, the association demanded from the UN Human Rights Council to return the isolated civilian-led government, adding that the "hour of the coup's imminent defeat" is coming and that its legitimacy will eventually fall.

The day before, the Sudanese Professionals Association announced the revolutionary forces' decision not to negotiate or cooperate with the Military Council. According to the association's statement shared on Facebook, all in the revolutionary forces have united under one slogan: "No negotiations, no compromise, no power-sharing."
Yesterday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the dismissed Sudanese government, Maryam al-Sadiq al-Mahdi, demanded to refer what she described as a "crime" of the Military Court to the International Criminal Court - the crime was carried out by Commander of the Sudanese Armed Forces General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.
In Geneva, yesterday, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the UNHCR adopted a draft resolution condemning the "seizure" of Sudan's Military Council, calling to give power back to the civilian population. The correspondent added that "Russia, China, and Venezuela deemed that the UNHCR's decision and Western intervention in Sudan's internal affairs are what led to the current crisis."
