According to an Opinium poll, 49% of people in the United Kingdom do not approve of the Prime Minister's performance. A staggering 24% only expressed support for Rishi Sunak's performance, in a trend that has only descended in recent weeks.

According to the poll results, opposition Labor Party leader Keir Starmer is regarded as considerably better, with 28% approving of his performance and 35% disapproving. He also outperforms Sunak on the topic of who would make a better prime minister, with 27% voting for him and 23% voting for Sunak.

From August 30 to September 1, Opinium polled 1,400 prospective voters.

A similar survey by YouGov in June indicated that 59% of those polled showed no support for Sunak while Starmer was supported by 59% of respondents.

Also in June, a YouGov poll indicated that among 2019 Tory voters, former PM Boris Johnson received an approval rating of 14 compared to Sunak, who at the time received 7.

However, among Conservatives who voted for the party in the past election, Sunak had a lower popularity rating than Johnson.

He received a net approval rating of -23, while Johnson had a rating of -39. Some 61 percent believe Johnson was a disastrous PM, while 42 percent believe Sunak is performing poorly.
