Syria: Two Military US Convoys Burned by IED
Two trucks carrying logistical materials to back US occupation bases in Syria burn as a result of an IED attack.
A US convoy carrying military base logistical materials were targeted by an improvised explosive device (IED) at the al-Malikiyah area in the countryside of al-Hasakah, as reported by Syrian news agency, SANA.
According to local sources, it is unknown whether there were casualties among the US occupation forces given that they imposed a security cordon around the area.
On November 23, several missiles were fired at the US occupation's base at Khrab al-Jir Airport in the al-Hasaka countryside.
It is worth mentioning that local sources say that Khrab al-Jir airbase is considered the second illegal US occupation base in Syria. It includes a runway that can be used by helicopters and smaller aircraft.
The base was established in 2015 after the confiscation of large agricultural areas.
The US forces have recently evacuated a convoy of 270 vehicles from their base at Kharab al-Jir military airport in the al-Hasakah Countryside, heading to northern Iraq through the al-Waleed border crossing.
This has been considered one of the largest withdrawals of military vehicles carried out by the US occupation in recent years.
